The Challenge
A brand built solely on "hair" can feel limiting when you have dreams of a beauty & wellness haven. The client was moving into a new phase of her career—opening a studio where other stylists could rent chairs and thrive.
The hurdle was creating a visual language that felt calming and modern enough to lean into the beauty industry, but versatile enough to eventually encompass broader wellness offerings. We needed to celebrate the "root" (hair styling) while leaving room for the studio to "bloom" into a full-scale haven for style and serenity.

The Strategy
I started by defining the brand’s soul: "Necessary Stillness." During the strategy discovery, we landed on a mix of the Caregiver and Lover archetypes—elegant, grounded, and approachable. I utilized a palette of "Sand, Sage, and Olive" to create an earthy, organic feel that immediately signals wellness and peace.
For the visual identity, I paired tall, modern, sophisticated serifs with grounded, clean subheaders to balance elegance with accessibility. The messaging centered on the tagline "Pause. Pamper. Bloom."—a rhythmic three-step promise that works for a haircut today and a full wellness experience tomorrow. We built a visual haven that invites both stylists and clients to stop the clock and rediscover their beauty.

“A brand shouldn't just fit who you are today; it should fit who you want to become. By focusing on the atmosphere rather than just the service, we built a studio brand that has no ceiling.”
